Isabella Nkareng is a dynamic business leader, communications specialist, and community development advocate who serves as Chief Executive Officer of Sesikhona Business Chamber.
In the role as a CEO, she drives strategic initiatives that empower local enterprises and promote sustainable economic growth, with a particular focus on inclusive participation, transparent governance, and constructive stakeholder engagement.
Ms. Nkareng brings a robust academic foundation spanning Public Relations, Communication Science and Media Studies, Marketing and Business Management, and Social Psychology. This multidisciplinary training enables her to navigate complex business dynamics with insight, empathy, and a clear strategic vision. In addition to her leadership duties, she applies her expertise as a consultant with Stock Market College and Greenworld, guiding business development, communication strategies, and broader economic participation to help individuals and communities thrive in evolving markets.
A central pillar of her leadership is leveraging Sesikhona as a platform for effective communication, meaningful participation, and proactive conflict resolution across project lifecycles. She is devoted to advancing local economic development by ensuring that communities, small businesses, and key stakeholders are actively involved in decision-making processes. Her approach centers on trust-building, transparent information sharing, and direct engagement among stakeholders, including essential conversations with energy providers such as Eskom.
Ms. Nkareng’s policy focus includes structured participation through workshops and consultations, risk mitigation related to job security and environmental impacts, and the establishment of a robust Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) to sustain ongoing dialogue and accountability. She also serves as a non-executive board member of the Nkangala Business Chamber, reinforcing her commitment to regional economic collaboration and peer-to-peer leadership.
Outside her professional work, Isabella is passionate about art and culture, believing cultural expression can unify communities, elevate identity, and drive social transformation. She remains dedicated to bridging communities, businesses, and institutions to create pathways for inclusive growth and shared economic opportunity
